The little deer family

Last year we first met these deer as new fawns

I am glad that we can provide a safe place for them for now.
This buck stays with his sister and her fawns.

Momma deer with her two fawns

They are getting braver each day

We have two families that come to dine. This doe has one fawn
If you click on the picture you can see her fawn in the background on the left.

Our back deck and moving the storage carport

I think someone wanted to see our back deck. Was it you Michelle? It has been too hot to go and take photos. We had a little cool spell(in the mid nineties)so I ventured out. I hope you enjoy the pictures. The garden is all gone and my flowers have all but died. I am waiting on fall.
You can see the building on the far left that we moved, the travel cottage and our storage building.

To it's final destination

Carport view looking to back yard. Moon flower growing up trellis

See the carport on the right? We moved it yesterday to another spot in the shade.

It was in front of the railing.

Hubs turning the corner with 4x4 skids

He made the turn

Moving the carport inch by inch

From here we took a ninety degree right turn down to the trees
No more pictures because I had to help him move the carport with him on the tractor and me on the Rhino. Move a little then move the skids, repeat that 10 times and you get the picture.

Upper deck

This is our lower deck that goes to the carport.

Bruno, the bird killing cat, only goes outside when chaperoned.

My glider that I love, but I have not been outside long because of the heat and humidity.
I will hang out here in the fall and watch Nature at it's best.

I have my view back.
This morning I took photos of one of the deer families that come to feed here.
I will post those later.

Welcome My Neighbors, the Grass Eaters

This is Hershey and she loves to eat grass.

This is Hershey again, one of my neighbor's horses.

It makes us sad when folks have animals and don't have the room for them. My sweet neighbors have four horses. Two in each paddock. They are feeding them grain right now, but these two younger girls have less space, so we ask our neighbors if they could come and graze on our land.

Their paddocks are dried up and there is no fresh grass for them to eat. They are very good eaters and have room to kick up their heels and run. I like that we can help these beautiful
horses.

I wish I owned these horses because I would take really good care of them.

This is one of my neighbor's horses. Her name is Lucy Lu.
It has been a long hot summer and these beautiful horses look so thin. I can see their ribs. While I don't know anything about horses, I wonder what you think.?

True Friends

I have not dropped off the face of the Earth...just tired from this hot weather. I will come back in a little while. I am taking a small vacation from blogging.

A true friend doesn't care when you're broke, if your house is a mess, about your past, or if your family is filled with crazies... they love you for who you are. A true friend can go long periods of time without speaking and never question the friendship. Repost if you are lucky enough to have at... least one true friend.... They will know who they are....

My A Team

This lovely face is Michelle and the other beautiful lady is Cindy. They make everything happen for Dr. Kyle so to speak. They keep him organized and make the office run smoothly and always with a smile on their face.

Cindy on the left and Michelle on the right. They help with anything you need. They are both so sweet that not even my questions throw them off. They have a great attitude, too. See my sister, Candy, in the background.

This is Dr. Kyle, my Chiropractor. He is the one that makes my pain go away. Sissy and I think he has healing hands. You can feel his touch. What I like most about him besides the great treatment is that he lives what he teaches us. He is very much into the total well being of each patient. Mind, body and spirit.

He is the first Chiropractor to educate me about my body and all the connections in my spine and to the body parts it controls. If we could just harness the power of the human brain there would be no illness. He gives weekly classes and has so much information available to us. He runs videos about health, always has positive affirmations posted in the clinic and the atmosphere is very family friendly.

He has a kind heart and makes sure that everyone can afford his services. He is a family man and a man of God. It is so touching to see him with little children. He always has a big smile on his face and you leave feeling much better after he has treated you. He never takes his hand off of you and you are given his undivided attention. He is present and in the moment with every patient.

I am thankful that my preacher's wife told me about Dr. Kyle. When I hurt my knee the recommendation was surgery. I had done that before on my right knee. I thought I would try a different approach. I went from bed rest and immense pain to walking on crutches, to limping to full recovery and that was without any surgery. My back is so much better and my spine adjusts to give me optimum range of motion. I have not had any headaches or had to take pain medicine for my knee in months. I feel like a new person thanks to my team of awesome people.

Dr. Kyle treating my sister, Candy. She is mostly pain free and does not need to take her pain medications any more. Dr. Kyle has worked wonders for her back. His positive attitude just rubs off on you. Thank you Dr. Kyle, Michelle and Cindy for all of your kindness and love.

Let me introduce you to the amazing and wonderful Anna.

This is my sister, Candy. We are waiting on someone very special. Waiting is hard to do when you are excited to see the person you are waiting for. But she was worth the wait.
She goes by Chickie and you can follow her blog http://www.skitteringthoughts.com

I started following her blog about two years ago and she is the nicest young woman and has an incredible sense of humor. Last year she stopped at my house to visit us. Last year she drove deep into the country to find us. We are very remotely located. I was impressed that she found us, but then she is very smart. That was an awesome experience to meet my first bloggy friend.
This year we met in Marshall,TX. and ate Mexican food. It was so very nice to see her again and catch up with her. She drove from Florida to Las Vegas, then to Oklahoma and then to see us. I hope I got that in the right order. I am too afraid to go anywhere by myself, but she is like my super alter ego, the brave and beautiful Anna.

I took some random photos while we waited for Anna to arrive. The inside of this restaurant is sort of interesting. It is Jalapeno Tree restaurant. Sorry to say I don't drink, but I liked the sign.

More views of the inside of this place. I told my sister that I should decorate my kitchen in this style because it is so festive, but then I would have to do all of my home to co-ordinate with a Mexican Catina. Just a brief thought. I don't think so.

The nice waitress agreed to take our photo. We told her we were bloggers and that Anna had traveled a long way to be here. The waitress had to try three times, but she got us.
Our waitress was hearing impaired and she looked like she had an implant behind her ear. She gave us excellent service along with the photo taking. Thank you Miss Waitress. Blogging around these parts is big business. At least it is to me.

Anna is so much fun to be around. Today was a really special day to see my friend. Words can not describe how much we adore this young woman. I am grateful that she took the time to come and visit with us. She gave us a big hug when we came and when she left. Anna, I hope you have a safe journey back home. You are a sweetheart for taking time off of your trip to come and see us. I hope you can sleep through work because it will be hard to return after three weeks of vacation.

Love you and big hugs. This was one of the best days ever!
