My granddaughter

OK, here is the latest on my granddaughter, Ali. My DIL and Ali stayed all day at the first hospital. They ran every kind of test they could to find out what is wrong with her. The doctors decided that the CAT scan showed that her appendix was about to rupture.

With that said, the doctors sent them via ambulance to another hospital where there is a pediatric surgeon. He looks at everything and says "It is not her appendix." He reviews all the test and says no surgery. He still does not know the cause of her pain or what is going on with Ali. He gives my DIL his phone number and says if she gets worse to call him. He said not to go back to the first hospital because they know nothing about children.

My sweet DIL and Ali get home so late. They are exhausted and have not eaten a thing all day. I am just thankful that she did not have surgery. Ali was so afraid and the only person she wanted was her Daddy, and knowing her Daddy, he is upset that he can't be with her. Duty calls first when you are in the service.

I know when we were in the service, everything that could go wrong went askew when my Hubs was TDY or on alert. It never failed. I have been amazed at how strong my DIL has become from being married to the military. I thank God for her. I am thankful to see her blossom into this wonderful loving woman, wife and mother.

So I ask you to continue to lift Ali up in prayers. My DIL had sent out prayer request, and I sent them out. I know that God is watching over them as always and that brings so much comfort to me as I am so far away from where they live. I have said before that we are the only family she really has and I love her with all my heart.

When I know more I will let you know. Thank you for you immediate prayers and continued prayers.

In His Name,
Pam

Oh my goodness..I am so sorry. It is terrible scary and exhausting having an ill child especially when you don't know the cause. We had issues like this when my daughter was about your granddaughter's age, but I had hubby at home. I will keep you all in my thoughts Pam... hugs.. Michelle

Thank you all so very much for the prayers, good thoughts, positive energy, Reiki and sunshine.

Between my friends, you guys and my DIL friends praying, this may be why she did not need surgery.

I talked with my DIL and they are exhausted today, but Ali is not worse. So please keep up the prayers.

I am so thankful for caring friends like you all.
