Let me introduce you to the amazing and wonderful Anna.

This is my sister, Candy. We are waiting on someone very special. Waiting is hard to do when you are excited to see the person you are waiting for. But she was worth the wait.
She goes by Chickie and you can follow her blog http://www.skitteringthoughts.com

I started following her blog about two years ago and she is the nicest young woman and has an incredible sense of humor. Last year she stopped at my house to visit us. Last year she drove deep into the country to find us. We are very remotely located. I was impressed that she found us, but then she is very smart. That was an awesome experience to meet my first bloggy friend.
This year we met in Marshall,TX. and ate Mexican food. It was so very nice to see her again and catch up with her. She drove from Florida to Las Vegas, then to Oklahoma and then to see us. I hope I got that in the right order. I am too afraid to go anywhere by myself, but she is like my super alter ego, the brave and beautiful Anna.

I took some random photos while we waited for Anna to arrive. The inside of this restaurant is sort of interesting. It is Jalapeno Tree restaurant. Sorry to say I don't drink, but I liked the sign.

More views of the inside of this place. I told my sister that I should decorate my kitchen in this style because it is so festive, but then I would have to do all of my home to co-ordinate with a Mexican Catina. Just a brief thought. I don't think so.

The nice waitress agreed to take our photo. We told her we were bloggers and that Anna had traveled a long way to be here. The waitress had to try three times, but she got us.
Our waitress was hearing impaired and she looked like she had an implant behind her ear. She gave us excellent service along with the photo taking. Thank you Miss Waitress. Blogging around these parts is big business. At least it is to me.

Anna is so much fun to be around. Today was a really special day to see my friend. Words can not describe how much we adore this young woman. I am grateful that she took the time to come and visit with us. She gave us a big hug when we came and when she left. Anna, I hope you have a safe journey back home. You are a sweetheart for taking time off of your trip to come and see us. I hope you can sleep through work because it will be hard to return after three weeks of vacation.

Love you and big hugs. This was one of the best days ever!

Hi Miss Pam,

We love the picture of the three of you - so pretty. Bet there was a lot of laughing going on - isn't it fun to just be silly sometimes?

Thank you for sharing all those pictures.

Hugs,
Prudence & Sissy
(Mom too, of course)

Hi Pam, this is a lovely tale of an online friendship coming to life.
I agree- meeting other bloggers is good fun.

Thanks for your lovely comments over at mine; doing the Roast was good fun. I'm very fond of Eddie, he's a hoot!
And, yes, it is really that cold here in Dublin, we think this is warm! My SIL lives in Texas, but we haven't visited yet, but if we do, maybe we could meet up!!

Mimi, where does your SIL live in Texas? That would be so neat to meet another blogger friend.

I never knew it got that cold in Ireland. I have always wanted to go to Ireland.

Take care and stay warm.

I wanted to thank you also for the lovely comment you left on my blog - although I am not sure which post it went with because when I clicked "publish" I thought it was attached to my latest post but it did not appear. Wsa that comment for a different post or did it just get lost in 'blog-land'? Please let me know, k?

Hello Pam,
What a wonderful post! I can imagine how exciting it must be to finally meet a blogging friend and from so far away too...goodness. It's nice that your sister was with you to share in your fun. You mentioned the waitress was hearing impaired and had an implant behind her ear...my husband has one too. His is called a Baha implant and a hearing aid snaps onto the implant. If you ever go back to that restaurant you could ask her about it...they're WONDERFUL. Thank you for sharing your story with us....have a wonderful Friday! Maura :)

Gail, my comment was on the post about your Mother, your MS and the video of all the flood victims in Tenn. You are such an inspration.
I found my comment and I hope you find it as well.

One day at a time.

Maura, That is so interesting that your husband has an implant too. I will ask her the next time we go there. She told us up front that she was hearing imparied. She spoke wonderfully and was a sweetie for taking our pictures.

I was so excited to see Anna. She is such a doll. My sister and I had a lot of fun meeting her again. I look forward to meeting any other bloggy friends.

Thanks for you comment. Have a great weekend.
