A man's work is never done

Here is my new chicken coup that Hubs built for me.  I can't wait to get new baby chicks and ducks.  This coup is stronger and better made than the last one.  I like it has a door where I can go in a pet the chicks. I think it is best to keep them in a fenced in area around the coop and then lock them up at night.

This is where Hubs is digging out the pond some more to make it deeper.

This is about the level of the pond at all times.  Last summer he drained it out and added some clay filler to seal the pond.  One day we will have fish.

It doesn't look like he dug much out from this end, but he did.

Raising chicks and ducks sounds like lots of fun. Can't wait to see the ducks swimming in the pond. You are going to have a fun summer.

Your husband does do a lot doesn't he? Yes, he does.

I love baby chicks. We used to raise them every year for food. Lived on a farm and most everything we raised ourselves.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. ☺

Travis, we love this land.

DeEtta, raising critters is fun, except when something gets them. I'm praying nothing does this year.

JBR, he had a fire burning and it smelled good as well.

Sandee, my Hubs is one of the hardest working men I know. He is loving retirement. The work never ends.
