On being me

I am finally among the living.  I've been sick with strep throat and sinus.  After waiting it out for  a week, I went to the doctor last Friday.  She gave me a shot and put me on another round of antibiotics.  I'm happy I am getting better.

I've been asked to do the center piece for our group garden club meeting.  I don't have a way to store fresh flowers and the shop I used to work has closed.  I would rather do bedding plants, but then I thought about doing silk flowers.  I love the colors in the silk one.  I have to drive a ways to get to the meeting and don't like the idea of doing a fresh arrangement.  Any thoughts?

                                                                              Silk flowers or
bedding plants?

Sorry you've been sick, but I'm thrilled that you are feeling better. I'm more thrilled you went to the doctor.

Well it's almost spring and the bedding plants seem so right, but I do love the silks because you can keep them forever and they always look the same with little care. Silks is my choice.

Have a terrific day Pam. Big hugs. ☺

Hi Pam- glad you are on the mend :-) ANd my thoughts on the floweres or center-eices might be of eucalyptus and branches from outside that you paint and decorate and tie with colored ribbons of various materials - will last forever!!!!! just a thought
Love Gail
peace.....

Glad you are better. I had that mess in Jan and it was awful. I can't wait to get out and plant some things this spring. How about you? How is the weather there?

Hi Miss Pam,

You are such an expert with flowers, you will do something bee-u-tee-ful.

Heaps of Hugs

Next time you are sick just call me and I will come and take care of you.

Pam and I prefer silk flowers because we just don't have the time or skill or space for real ones. Plus, they are much easier to change out season by season and the colors don't usually fade...as long as you don't keep them on a table that gets too much direct sunlight.

Imagine that...keeping flowers out of the sun!

Happy you are among the living. Sinus infection and strep is not fun. I love the bedding plants I guess because I am so anxious for spring.

I love the photos of your impending storms.

Glad you're on the mend, Pam. If it's not too late, I vote for the bedding plants arrangement.
