You shouldn't believe everything you tell yourself. FEELINGS aren't FACTS.
I didn't know Labor Day was a Holiday until I left home. My dad would say "It's labor day so lets get to work" and we would be out in the field topping beets. A nice memory that I will always treasure even though I complained at the time.
DeEtta, we work in the yard or I do house work. I did not know that Labor Day started in Canada. What a nice memory of your day. He sounds like he had a good sense of humor. Don't work too hard. LOL!
