Let Your Light Shine

Our Deepest Fear
By Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.

We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us;
It's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

Oh Pam-

this is so lovely - so true and so timely.

As I entered my Mom's hospital room today and I saw her struggling for breath she perked up and said - "you bring such joy when you enter a room" .

And she is beyond the crisis now. Hallelujah!

Lovely powerful post. "thank you"

Love Gail
peace and light.....

I really enjoyed reading that post. I like what it said about how we are afraid of our own light. I agree with that, I think we are more powerful than we give ourselves credit for.

Sandee, thanks for stopping by and commenting. Big Hugs back to you.

Gail...I hope all is well with you right now. What lovely words to hear from your Mother. I am glad that she is past the crisis.
Peace and love to you.

Rudee...you are welcome. I like to ponder things and life as well.

Nessa... I did not take the picture, but I wish I had. It is indeed a beautiful shot.

Melissa...I think our mind is so powerful that we could unlock the keys to everything. I am just sad that my mind is on vacation so much of the time. I hope you are well.
