Timber...

Timber...there she falls! Trees were moving and shaking from the sight of Hubs' John Deer tractor. It is a mighty might as far as a small tractor goes.

Yesterday was an eventful day. Hubs has been working in the back removing dead trees to burn. I go outside to find that he has turned the tractor on its side. Thankfully he was not hurt. This was a site to see. I didn't have a battery pack for my camera, so no pictures of this event.

I am sure that today he will be the talk of his work place and that he will take a lot of ribbing from this. He called some friends from work and they came and got the tractor up right.

Hubs has not been very lucky as of late. Let's see, last year before we moved here, he was cutting down a dead pine tree when it broke off and marked his forehead with a Z like Zorro. Forty stitches later. Then a couple of weeks ago he is moving trees again and one small tree falls on his forehead. No stitches this time, but it did knock him unconscious. I did not know about because I was inside the house. I ask him if the dogs licked him in the face or tried to rescue him. No such luck.

Let's hope that he has a good week with no accidents.

This has the sounds of Dr. John's Pigeon Falls Telephone Posts LOL. I would tell your husband when he sees a tree to turn around and run as fast as he can LOL. Have a great day :)

Maybe he should keep away from the trees? :0

Sandee, he wouldn't listen...you know how stubborn men can be?

Thom, I will have to read Dr.John's post about the telephone post. Part of the problem is that he likes to work in the yard. Especially likes to burn those dead trees.

Akelamula, we talked about that very thing at lunch today.

HI PAM-

Oh my, Hubs best stay inside and out of "harms way". We are getting firewood delivered in 2 weeks - we will gather kindling and snap it so it fits in the barrels this week.

Happy AUtumn

Hi Gail, I keep telling him that! I don't think we are going to use our fireplace this year. The smell does my allegeries in and it is rarely cold enough here.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be by soon to see what you are up to.
Big Hugs,
Pam

Dawn, I will post a picture of his tractor that one of his friends took a picture of.

Hope you have a nice week.

I'm thinking a hike through the forest would not be in your hubs best interest.

Glad he wasn't hurt.

Maybe time for hubs to get out of the trees!

He should dress in full armour and show the trees who is boss.
