How does everybody keep up?

Part of my problem in blogging is trying to keep up with reading every blog. I am loaded down with them right now. I am determined to read them all. I may not comment, but I will read them.

I have gone back and forth between using Google reader or just my blog roll. So this morning I went back to reader, deleted the one-thousand post that I have not read and started fresh. I have read twelve new post and am caught up for the moment. I even made a few comments as well.

I find it hard to write and read. Well, that sounds a little odd I know, but I have the concentration of a gnat sometimes. How do you handle reading all of the blogs. When I finally get to reading some, then I have to catch up on their blogs in order to feel like I am keeping up. Also, there are so many wonderful blogs out there that I have not been able to read.

Just know that I am trying to be a better blogger and blog friend. Have a great day.

HI PAM-

you are a wonderful blogger friend. :-)
I, like you, struggle to 'keep up'. I follow lots of blogs and I read most, most days and comment often although not always. I feel it is overwhelming some days.

Love to you
Gail

It's difficult. I have such trouble when we go to the boat for the weekend. I come back to sometimes hundreds of posts in my reader. I just mark them all read and start fresh. It's too much stress if I don't. I can so relate.

Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)

Pam,
I try to just read a few each day and then spend the weekend getting caught up. I also spend about four hours on Sunday writing my blog posts for both blogs and scheduling them out. It's taken away some of the sponenaeity (sp) of posting, but at least I'm caught up. I also comment less frequently than I used to, because I have this OCD need to read EVERY comment before me.

Pam your not alone in this...Just keep remembering why you started to blog and the joy you have in reading other blogs...

I don't do google..I think I would be TOTALLY freaked out and consumed to have to read it that way,,like there is no way for me to catch up..than oh ya,,I would have HUGE panic attacks than,,lol.

My dashboard is a life saver..I just scroll down to visit the new posts that have come up...

I am a speed reader and type 85 wpm so it DOES help..but I also work 55 hours a week, plus about 5 to 15 hours ministry work to boot..oh ya,,I have a family in all that there too, LOL...

I got to a point where I was overwhelmed Following 250 blogs and well I stopped following everyone. For almost a year I think....Now I'm back in the swing of things with the outlook of ,,as I'm lead I will visit..if I can't..it doesn't mean I'm not be a good blogging friend but I NEED to prioritize...it all works out in the end...((hugs))

Pam...you are an excellent blogger. You just have to do what you have to do and whatever that is be happy with it. If it means getting rid of some blogs that you don't really enjoy reading, so be it. I make sure I comment on everyone's blog that comments on mine at least. It's a tough thing to do keeping up. Thank goodness for my iPhone. I can keep up like that throughout the day with it. I'd be dead in the water without it. But if I didn't have it, I'd just scale back.

The most important thing is do what makes you happy and what you can handle. That's all anyone excepts and if they do expect more...just tell 'em bite me LOL

Have a good one my friend. I hope you are well :)

I think we all feel the same Pam. But like Sandee said... sometimes it's just better to start fresh and not stress out about it.
It's not possible to read every single post and comment as well. I've learned to relax about it and read when time allows.

It's impossible to keep up. I've stopped trying. I read most through bloglines and try to comment, but if there isn't time, well there isn't time.

it takes time, and sometimes we just don't have time. It's understandable :)

Thanks for including me in the reads, and being a great blogger-buddy :)

Every blogger I think has this problem, so no, your not alone.

Somedays I just write, somedays I read and comment. Somedays I do nothing!

Alot of people quit blogging because they place unrealistic expectations on themselves, trying to keep up and all.

I don't do the google reader either. I just scroll up and down on my dash board like Angela mentioned.

So just do whatever works best for you!

Blessings

Pam I really understand where you are coming from! I feel guilty when I post but don't have the time to read other blogs. Sometimes I just have to concentrate on reading those who leave comments so I won't feel rude. I think we put pressure on ourselves that we don't have to. Blogging isn't supposed to feel like a job or an obligation. It's a personal expression thing.

Cut yourself some slack and blog the way that you are able. I guess that's what we all have to do.

Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs!

I think you are a wonderful blogger friend and I feel the SAME WAY!!! How to keep up? I dont' understand those reader things so I just click on my commenter's names and read their blogs then. Then sometimes I go through my blog roll and read the ones I know commented on my blog but I didnt' get back to them.

I feel terrible when I don't keep up.

Feel like they must believe that I really don't enjoy them or want to read them, but that is SO NOT TRUE.

So .. amen to feeling behind and I love you! sorry I don't get here more often. I don't have it figured out either.

Thanks for your kind comment whilst I've been absent, I really appreciate it.

Today I had over 200 posts in my reader. I am visiting them all but will only comment on the latest post. If I visit daily I can usually keep up normally.

I realize that this is an old post, but I just signed up for your RSS feed and I saw it on my ticker.

There is no way I can keep up with all the blogs I want to follow now. Especially right now. I am doing so much writing and blogging about mental health awareness. There is not enough time in the day.

Sometimes what I do is set aside time once day and go to as many blogs as I can and comment on them within that time frame. Other times, I will set a day aside for doing nothing but blog hopping. This one only works if I do not have a blog post of my own going out that day.

I used to feel stressed when I could not make it to everyone's blogs, but not anymore. I do what I can and try and make it to everyone as much as I can, and that will have to be enough for everyone.
