Blog Interview

Do any of you know what Blog Interview is? I received an email to submit information about my blog, which I did, but what really got me thinking is why do we read certain blogs? The blogs I follow are unique, sincere, funny, interesting and thought provoking. So many different reasons I follow that I can not even count.

What are your reasons for following a blog? In particular, my blog? I like to read a blog for a while before I follow it. Do you ever get followers that do not interact with your blog? I don't know why, but lately my followers count is up. Some leave a link to follow, but others nothing. Does that bother you when you can not connect with the follower? What do you do about it? Let me guess, I bet most of you don't worry about it. Remember I am fairly new to having followers, so it kind of makes me wonder why?

If you are a new follower, please let me know why you decided to follow my blog? While I am humbled to have followers, I still like to know who follows me.

Many thanks for answering my questions.

I don't follow anyone's blog. Many follow me. Probably not fair, but I hated it that my dashboard was so cluttered. That's my reason not to follow anyone.

As for putting someone in my reader to follow it's all the reasons you stated. I have you in my reader because I like you and want to know what you have to say.

Have a terrific day and weekend. Happy Easter. Big hug. :)

Sandee, thank you very much for your comment. You have so many followers that it must be difficult to read them all.

Happy Easter to you as well.
Hugs back to you!

When I started blogging I didn't know what following and what to post on mine. After a while and after meeting Quilly who gave me great pointers she said that if you want people to read your blog you have to visit theirs. So I started with the people on Quilly's blog and it went from there.

I don't remember when I first started following your blog Pam to be honest with you. It seems like it was one of the first one's I did and like you are family to me. So when I started I just added them to my google reader. Now that I'm sort of established I don't follow a blog so easily any longer. I don't care about my google friends connect really but what I do watch is those that I comment on and don't get anything in return. Just because someone is following me doesn't mean that I'm going to automatically follow them. It's if they continue to come back to my blog then I will follow them. It's a mutual respect thing I believe.

And then there are those that I was commenting on faithfully and getting noting in return. They are no longer in my reader LOL.

Make a long story short...I just watch my comments really to see if I should follow them. A lot just come for one meme, which is fine. That doesn't mean I'm going to follow them. Sharing our meme is good enough for me.

I hope you didn't fall asleep reading this LOL :)

Happy Easter to you and your family :)

I got an e-mail from blog interview a little while ago too (and submitted then with no result but spam mail), and have received two more since. Which, i have to say, is pretty annoying.

I decided to follow you after reading a few weeks in a row off the queens meme:) You seem rather genuine, and sometimes a little internet-naive, which I love! You do't have walls here, and I admire that. I know that doesn't sound like a compliment, but it is!

Thom, you feel like family too and I like that my friend. I am starting to see how this works. I was just surprised with my new followers bc they do not communicate with me at all. Seems strange to me, but then again I am a people person.

Have a Happy Easter to you my friend.

Xmichra, I am so naive with regards to the internet. I am glad to know what the reason was that made you follow me.

I just liked your attitude and your blog.

Happy Easter,
Pam

Do you ever get followers that do not interact with your blog? UMMMMMMMMMM.. oh ya...and let me tell ya, I used to wonder why are they following me? lol

Does that bother you when you can not connect with the follower? YES..it used to bother me a lot..to the point I was obsessing WAY too much about my blog and my followers...SIGH... What do you do about it? I keep reminding myself why I started the blog...and I REALLY work on letting go and letting God...because if I don't, I can have a very unhealthy, obsessive, and totally insane personality that will take control..lol. I'm serious girl! So let go, let God and love the the ones that comment, comment back to them (which I do through email instead of here on the comment section) I used to do like you and comment on the the comment section, but many people never came back to read what I wrote back to them (another obsessive thing that drove me nuts, lol).

I follow blogs sometimes very quickly because as soon as I 'enter' the blog, I get this WOW..in my spirit. Like ,,I've found a kindred spirit here...

Like you girl!!

Blessed Easter to you and yours.

I got one of those emails too but when I followed the link it didn't tell me what it was all about so I didn't give an interview.

I don't follow everyone that follows me because most of them don't leave comments. If someone leaves me comments I reciprocate always.

I just enjoy reading your blog. :)

Angela, You get it! I appreciate your comments. Like you I follow when I enjoy someone's blog or they are unique unto themselves such as your blog.

I will let go and let God.

Happy Easter to you too.

Akelamula, I don't always know what to do. hence this post. I feel the way you do about leaving comments to those that comment on my blog.

I guess I will learn as I go in blog land.

I followed you because you were so nice and encouraging to me. It really means a lot. Plus I love your blog and your fabulous writing.

Happy Easter!

I think the main reason I follow someone's blog is that there is a piece of kindred spirit in them that matches my heart. Those are the people I tend to interact with the most.

I do have some followers that I can't talk to because they don't have a blog or some that have never commented on mine, so I feel a bit funny commenting on theirs.

I don't read blogs or comment everyday and I only comment when I feel I have something to say.

Having a blog and following others is such an interesting experience, I am glad I stepped into blog land. To me it's sort of like having lots of pen pals. I always wanted a pen pal when I was a kid and now I have lots!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Pam, I don't remember when I just found your blog but I kept coming back because I felt a special spirit in your posts. As you open your heart and soul I can feel you are a genuine person who if I met in person I would immediately like. I consider you a very special friend. Your posts have touched my heart and have helped to make me a better person. Thank you for being YOU.

I check out blogs but hardly any responses except family and a few others. Mostly I keep going back even though no comments because they are friends I had when we lived in California and it helps me stay connected to them.

I started my blog to let my family and friends know what is going on in my life and hopefully will touch others too.

Love, DeEtta

Hi Pam - recently I found your blog through Barbara and added you to my feed. I love the honest and insightful way you are sharing your story and your own journey back there. Other parts of your blog are warm and uplifting. You're a real person.

I don't officially "follow" any blogs because I never seem to have enough time to keep up with the amount I like to surf through, when I get chance. However, I always try and return visits, and comment on bloggers who have taken the time and trouble to comment on my posts (this past week being an exception due to the crappy flu I've had).

Re visitors not commenting on my stuff, not particularly bothered. I started a list of blogs I like to try and visit regularly, but haven't got round to updating it.

Blogs that I visit and comment on are ones that have topics I either find interesting, thought-provoking, identifiable or make me giggle and/or smile:) I think your blog counts on all those levels actually :)

Have a great week Pam :)

I come hear to hear what you have to say. No matter what you're blogging about, I can imagine sitting at a kitchen table with you while we talk about it.

You're nice! :)

Awh, Chickie, you are nice too. I forgot to tell you how shiney you hair looks in your post. Just gorgeous like you.

I had so much fun meeting you last year, so yea I feel like we are back at my table talking too.

I had stumbled among your blog while just looking through blogs after writing in my blog. What I liked about your blog is that your blogs shared feelings, emotions, all human stuff and I thought it was cool because to a certain level it communicates "it is okey to be human, with all its hardship and happiness, it is okey" . Also, your blogs of shared memories, touched my heart too..although, it saddened me, I was so impressed that you are viewing this from a distance and that helping others to vent their thoughts/minds. So, blessings to you Pam..and may your life always contain happiness..

Mary Ann, thank you so much for your kind comments. I try to be real with all of my post. The support I have found enables me to support others as well.

I hope you will come back and visit. Thank you for the blessings.
