It's all in the planning

I have said that I have forgot how to cook in recent weeks and Hubs agreed with me.

Last night I was telling him that we ought to hire someone to cook for us when we get older. He said " We will have someone to cook for us...in the nursing home!" I don't think so, honey. I'm not going to any nursing home for a long, long time.

I had to laugh.

You've been sick so that makes a difference. You've not forgotten how to cook you just aren't cooking. I'm not going into any nursing home if I can help it too.

Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)

I can't cook anymore either and hopefully will not have to be cooked for in a nursing home. While our family was here, my daughter had to step in and help. I had totally forgotten how to cook for a large group. Such is life, I guess.

A nursing home...my worst nightmare. I'd rather eat dirt every day than live someplace like that.

Well, I hope he likes nursing home food then. And maybe you can bring him in some home made or even fast food when you go visit him! LOL :D

No nursing home, you need a chef!

Sandee, Yeah...I am cooking again. I am almost over the cold.

DeEtta, when I think about a nursing home, I make myself keep cooking and clean house.

Rudee, I agree with you about the old folks home. Dirt would be better than that place.

Ferd, I had to laugh at your comment. I remember once when I had my flower shop and I took my youngest son, Hunter, with me on a delivery to the nursing home. All of the folks loved seeing a young kid. I said to him..."This is why you need to get a good education, so we won't have to go in a nursing home." Hunter replied, "Mom, I'm not so sure about Dad, but you can live with me."

Hope you are feeling better.
Here's to none of us ending up in a nursing home!

Xmichra, I had to laugh at your comment. I hope that doesn't happen to you especially all at one time.

Dawn, I am finally feeling better. If I ever went to the old folks home, I am sure I would be their director of entertainment.

WHen my sister and I were young girls we started a volunteer group of girls to visit a nursing home. We had skits and all kinds of fun things to do with them.

Cooking? It can be a struggle sometimes. Do I remove the film or just puncture it before putting the tray in the microwave? And sometimes the food is still too cold in the middle, but scalding hot around the edges.

Wait...you probably didn't mean heating stuff up in the microwave, did you?

Travis, I had to chuckle at your comment. Sorry, I didn't mean the microwave. Ha. Ha. Ha.
