Little Friends

The blurred things in the picture are my dogs, Suzie, my lab and Carmen, my dobberman...

I could not believe that the does were out this early in our woods. How cool is that?

This stand holds the corn for the deer, but a critter knocked it over.

Hubs came in this afternoon with the night camera and much to our delight we had some interesting visitors last evening. Tonight we are going to sit out on the deck in hopes of seeing them in person. This is a wonderful moment because we both love animals and nature so much. I am thankful for the pictures of our little does.

Happy Trails to you

Carmen, my dobberman, Suzie, my yellow lab and Hot Dog, our little mixed dog that will dance in a circle for a dog treat.

Day trip to see another of my best friends, Darlene. Yesterday was her birthday and her husband gave her a little puppy that is a combination between a Schnauzer and a poodle. I am so excited to see her and her new puppy. She is as excited as a child. She has been without a dog for fifteen years.

We will visit, go to lunch and then I am off to see my accupuncturist. My sister, Candy, has been gone all week to La. and will return Saturday. It is ever changing around here. Then Hubs leaves Sunday for another week in south Louisiana. That is all I know for now. This has been a pretty good week for me, except that I miss my sweet sister.

Have a great weekend. My dogs say hello.

The crops

These tiny little peas are so delicious. Lady Cream Peas.
You have to shell a lot of them to have enough for a meal.

The left over pods.
If you have not eaten these peas you do not know what you are missing.

Fresh green beans
When the seed catalogs say grow in full sun, they can't be talking about TEXAS heat. The rest of the garden is burnt to a crisp except our squash, watermelon, cantaloupe and few other survivors. Next year we will do things different. We are planning on a raised vegetable garden.

Full Moon

Did anyone catch the full moon last night? It was brightly colored with a beautiful haze of clouds surrounding it.

It was brightly glowing and beautiful with a haze of clouds surrounding it that hypnotized you.
