It is finally done. The bath room is finished. I have not decorated it with pictures and I don't have the towel bar installed, but it will come all in due time.

Remodeling our master bathroom
It's time again to remodel. This time it is our master bathroom. This bathroom has been an eyesore since we moved here seven years ago. It has finally made it to the top of the list of things to do. The father and son team that have done most of our projects are here again.
The only thing left was the toilet.
In this corner will be a large walk in shower with glass enclosure with Carrera marble.

My front porch is finally done.
Here are a few pictures of my front deck. It is all painted now. I bought two rocking chairs. Now all I need is some plants, a good book and some lemon aide.

Choice of paint for porch
We are having the front porch painted white. I need some advice on what color to paint the floor of the porch. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated. Our house is a light pale green. I am not too fond of that color. I had thought about doing it all white including the floor. My painter says a white floor will get too dirty. Our back deck is redwood and I don't want to paint it that color again.
This is our back deck.

Our kitchen is almost finished.
This is where we are so far in our kitchen remodel. The counter top people messed up on laying the counters on the peninsular. It is not centered and there are a lot of flaws in the finished product. They are coming back on Monday to look at it. The Lowe's people came and looked at it on Friday. I can't tell you how sick of this I am. We have had a lot of miss communication with all involved.
We had the floor people come and match the flooring where the old cabinets were, had a painter come and paint, a plumber to connect the dishwasher, the sink and the faucet and an electrician to update some wiring.
Our last project at our former home, we re-modeled over half of our home. We had very few problems on that job. I can't say the same this time. Hopefully, this project will be finished by November for Thanksgiving. Still have a punch list of items to do. All in all, I love my cabinets and have so much more storage space. That part I am happy with.
They need to do the toe kick and the back side of my peninsular, replace a cabinet and the counters and install the microwave and the vent hood. I haven't filled all the cabinets up yet. Of course, I need to polish my stainless steel and decorate. Hubs and I are working on a flower bed by the drive way. I am so happy that Autumn is finally here. Thankful for some cooler temperatures.

Our kitchen remodel
Here's a few pictures of the kitchen after they gutted it. They finished installing the cabinets on Friday. Still have to get counter tops, microwave/vent hood, plumbing the sink and dishwasher. Hopefully, all will be finished in a few weeks. The red paint is where the old cabinets were. Lots of finger prints to wipe away. My cabinets are cherry with a spice finish.

A little dab of paint here and a dab there.
Here's a look into my current project. I have never liked this dark red in my kitchen. It sucks all of the light out of the room. The color makes feel like I'm in a cave. I have just started painting a few days ago. I have to say that I don't like to paint anymore, but it is something I can do to save some money on our projects.
I'm already liking it much better. It takes a lot of paint to cover up all of this red. I mean a lot...

This is the view into my wash room and the back door entrance. I have a decorated shelf over my washer and dryer. I used some of my grandmother's things that belonged to her. Like her old iron and her cannister set. More about that when I finish.

I can live with good old dependable beige and punch it up with my accessories.

In the mean time, I am trying to get this painted before we have the new flooring installed. I'm also having the cabinet doors re-faced with new doors and trim.
Then the counters are next on my list. I am going to be busy for a long time.
Tomorrow my sister moves to her new home and closer to her son and DIL. I am going to help her organize her kitchen once she is settled.
